Pinot Noir
dense

"So rich, so crunchy, so velvety... A real treat!"

This terroir offers great geological diversity, with successive layers of different soil types from top to bottom. This wine is characterized by spicy, roasted notes and a very expressive black cherry fruitiness. On the palate, it is dense, full-bodied, crisp, and elegant, with a spicy finish. Best enjoyed with a rib of beef with bone marrow... Marsannay: the rising star among appellations!

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Olivier Halley, a descendant of the family that owns Promodès and a shareholder of Carrefour, purchased this 40-hectare estate—including 28 hectares in Marsannay—in 2012, at the same time he acquired the Château de Meursault, and entrusted its management to Stéphane Follin-Arbelet. The investments in viticulture, technology, and personnel—which were necessary because the estate had gone through a difficult period—are beginning to pay off. Sylvain Pabion, after working at Bertrand Minchin’s Clos Delorme, joined the château to oversee operations and hospitality. A large reception hall here can seat up to 350 people, which is rare in the Burgundy wine region.
