Joseph Drouhin - Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Procès 2014
16/20
Bettane & Desseauve
91-93/100
Robert Parker
The 2014 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Procès contains 15% whole bunches and has been aged for 17 months in barrels. It has an aroma of ripe cherries and rose petals with a slight hint of oyster shell that becomes more pronounced when aerated. The palate is well-balanced with a lemony attack, fine tannins, and a very elegant and harmonious finish. This is a very refined and seductive Nuits-Saint-Georges that should provide pleasure for the next 15 years." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This house is now run by Frédéric Drouhin, assisted by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe for the vines. In July 2013, it opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its stride and is establishing itself as a sure bet. The house relies on a biodynamic vineyard that is particularly well endowed with great whites, in Côte-de-Beaune but also in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon label), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
