About the estate:

With 47 hectares spread across 25 climats, this family-owned estate—composed of countless small plots—boasts a unique viticultural heritage, featuring, in particular, a first-rate selection of vineyards from the area surrounding Corton Hill. The wines remain true to their terroirs of origin, free of artifice, and full of sincerity. The estate is managed by Dominique Guyon and has been organically farmed and certified since the 2018 vintage. The reds, made from partially destemmed grapes, combine ripe fruit with fine tannins. They are true reflections of their terroirs, and the 2018 vintage features a range of well-crafted reds, with the Corton Clos-du-Roi leading the pack—which is hardly surprising. Among the whites, the Meursault Charmes-Dessus and Pernand-Sous-Frétille are particularly noteworthy.

The 2023 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vergelesses 1er Cru offers more complexity and minerality than Les Fichots, with light aromas of iris blossoms mingling with red fruit and a subtle hint of incense. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with good structure. Fresh and showing nice tension, it is more precise than the Les Fichots, with a pleasant savory note on the finish. Recommended. 2026–2040

Soft, delicate, and refined aromas of blue and black fruits with an underlying mineral edge. The palate is linear, with a round, polished texture and a mineral, chalky finish. A beautiful, delicate floral finish. Excellent to drink now, but shows great aging potential. Drink now or celller.

This large 48-hectare estate is located in Savigny-lès-Beaune. In the 1960s, Antonin Guyon purchased parcels of land stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault. In 1970, his son Dominique expanded the estate. He succeeded in acquiring 350 plots totaling 22 hectares, owned by nearly 80 landowners in the commune of Meuilley in the Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits. Today, Dominique Guyon manages the estate and oversees winemaking with the help of his cellar master—who also serves as his vineyard manager—Vincent Nicot. The vineyard is meticulously tended, featuring plowing, moderate soil amendments, limited yields, and grapes that are always sorted during harvest. The estate offers a wide range of wines from both the Côte-de-Nuits and the Côte-de-Beaune, including numerous 1er Crus, several Grands Crus from Corton, and a Charmes-Chambertin. All the wines display beautiful, straightforward fruit and great depth.
