favorite

"A Favorite to discover year after year!"

"The only Favorite of the appellation this year goes to a cuvée communale and the excellent Rodolphe Demougeot. The latter has produced a highly expressive and colorful Pommard, with a deep color flirting with black, a sign of great concentration. The nose, intense and refined, blends woody and spicy notes of sandalwood, vetiver and nutmeg. Full-bodied, dense and suave on the palate, backed by ripe, perfectly integrated tannins, with a long, smooth finish. A wine of character, harmonious and racy, combining controlled power and elegance". (Guide Hachette 2026)

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

Although Rodolphe Demougeot has been based in Meursault since 1998, since 1992 he has been developing an estate whose 7.8-hectare heartland consists mainly of a fine representation of the Pommard and Savigny-lès-Beaune crus. The red wines, made from meticulously sorted grapes, destemmed or not, vinified in concrete vats, have an energy that makes them drinkable from a young age in a gourmet style, very well suited to the restaurant trade and to those who like to drink their wines young. As for the whites, they offer uprightness and verticality.

Domaine noté (guide 2022) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the domain :

Rodolphe Demougeot founded his domaine in 1992. His red wines are energetic and dense, and age very well. Today, they are harmonious, freed from the hard finishes that marked past vintages.
