Domaine de la Croix Senaillet - Saint-Véran En Pommards 2014
91/100
Robert Parker
In Pommards is a rich Saint-Véran, with notes of hazelnuts, apricot, honey, gingerbread, and fresh butter. A powerful white with a round palate and very mellow oak that reaffirms flavors of pears, honey, dried fruit, and gingerbread. A very fine bottle, indeed!

About the estate:
The Dom. de la Croix Senaillet was founded in 1969 by Maurice Martin, who gradually abandoned mixed farming in favor of viticulture. In 1990, his son Richard took over the family estate, before being joined by his brother Stéphane in 1992. The property, which initially covered 6.5 hectares, has expanded to 25 hectares today, spread over 52 plots that have been certified organic since 2010. Building on their experience, in 2015 the brothers acquired Dom. de Mont Épin in Clessé (13 hectares).
