"A must-have for your wine cellar"
“A hint of chamomile joins the citrus notes on this wine’s juicy, mirabelle-plum nose. The palate adds lively, aromatic notes of green greengage and almond. All this aromatic intensity unfolds against a backdrop of chalky texture, framed by brightness and freshness. A fine vintage for 2018, the wine offers balance, concentration, texture, and elegance.” (Wine Enthusiast 2020) A Pouilly-Fuissé not to be missed!

About the estate:
Domaine de la Croix Senaillet was founded in 1969 by Maurice Martin, who gradually shifted from mixed farming to viticulture. In 1990, his son Richard took over the family estate, and was joined by his brother Stéphane in 1992. The property, which originally covered 6.5 hectares, has expanded to 25 hectares today, spread across 52 plots that have been certified organic since 2010. Building on their experience, in 2015 the brothers acquired Dom. de Mont Épin in Clessé (13 hectares).

About the wine:
70-year-old Chardonnay vines, certified organic across 1.20 hectares, comprising four plots in the communes of Fuissé and Solutré, planted on Jurassic limestone and marl soils with south and northeast exposure. Deliberately low yield. Slow alcoholic fermentation in demi-muids and 228-liter barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation, with 10 months of aging on fine lees. Pale gold color with subtle green highlights. Rich and straightforward, already open and ready to drink, with lovely liveliness. Full-bodied and opulent, with a taut structure and a clean finish with a slight chewiness. 13%. Best enjoyed from 2020 to 2026.
