Domaine de la Croix Senaillet - Mâcon-Davayé 2023
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“A rich, well-balanced white wine with a harmonious finish...”
“Mechanical harvesting, vinification in stainless steel tanks, followed by 10 months of aging on fine lees have produced this superb golden wine with sparkling highlights. The nose combines white flowers with apricot, nuts, and coconut. Continuing this same aromatic profile, the palate—full-bodied and long—combines freshness and roundness in a perfectly assured balance. We applaud it. And we serve it with a refined dish, such as sea bream ceviche with passion fruit. 2025–2030” (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the estate:
Domaine de la Croix Senaillet was founded in 1969 by Maurice Martin, who gradually shifted from mixed farming to viticulture. In 1990, his son Richard took over the family estate, and was joined by his brother Stéphane in 1992. The property, which originally covered 6.5 hectares, has expanded to 25 hectares today, spread across 52 plots that have been certified organic since 2010. Building on their experience, in 2015 the brothers acquired Dom. de Mont Épin in Clessé (13 hectares).
