About the estate:

This vineyard, located in the heart of Davayé’s finest terroirs, is owned by the Mâcon Davayé Wine School. For several years now, it has been courageously managed using organic farming methods, covering no less than 16 hectares, primarily within the Saint-Véran appellation. The winemaking approach here has a significant impact on the style of the wines, with very unadorned musts that undergo prolonged fermentation at low temperatures. The result is a modern and alluring profile. Of note is a rare and more original selection of reds that we were unable to taste—and, as a side note, some highly commendable goat cheeses!

About the wine:

Both fresh and mineral, yet well-balanced and full-bodied on the palate, this wine is a good introduction to the more ambitious wines now being produced in this long-underrated appellation. An interesting hint of chalky tannins adds extra depth to the finish. Made from organically grown grapes. Ready to drink now or for aging.
