Clos des Poncetys 2024 captivates with its golden-hued color and reveals a rich, refined fruitiness on the nose. About the estate:

This vineyard, located in the heart of Davayé’s finest terroirs, is owned by the Mâcon Davayé wine-making high school. For several years now, it has been courageously managed using organic farming methods, covering no less than 16 hectares, primarily within the Saint-Véran appellation. The winemaking approach here has a significant impact on the wines’ style, with very unadorned musts that undergo prolonged fermentation at low temperatures. The result is a modern and alluring profile. Also worth noting is a rare and rather unique production of red wines that we were unable to taste—and, as a side note, some highly commendable goat cheeses!

About the estate:

The Mâcon-Davayé wine-making school has been training winemakers from Burgundy and beyond for many generations. The adjacent estate (16 ha) is farmed organically, and Frédéric Servais, the cellar master, aims to produce wines that are as “natural” as possible.
