Pierre Gimonnet & Sons Champagne
The vineyards of the Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Champagne House are located on the Côte des Blancs. The Gimonnet family’s history in Champagne began in 1750. Initially, the Gimonnets were winegrowers who supplied their harvests to Champagne merchants. It was during the interwar period that the house truly began its winemaking operations. Around 1935, Pierre published his first price lists. Fresh grape juice appeared alongside “still wine from Champagne” and “cru champagnes”… at practically the same price.

Starting in 1955, Michel Gimonnet, Pierre’s son, devoted himself with passion and boldness to developing a range of “Maison” Champagnes. He understood just how unique the family vineyard was, and the style of his wines would express all its beauty, liveliness, and character. Today, the vineyard spans some 28 hectares classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru. In early 2008, Pierre Gimonnet & Fils acquired nearly 2 hectares across four parcels in the Premier Cru terroir of Vertus.

All grapes are harvested by hand. Pressing is carried out traditionally, in stages, using two pneumatic presses that have been operated automatically since 1996. Aware of the diversity and great richness of their vineyards, Olivier and Didier Gimonnet, the current directors of Champagnes Pierre Gimonnet & Fils, spare no effort to bring out their finest expressions.
