2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

"A favorite in the previous edition with its 2014 Tradition cuvée, Antech has done just as well this year with this crystal-clear Grande Réserve, with its fine, abundant bubbles. On the nose, fresh apple mingles with mirabelle plum and white flowers, with a hint of minerality. This aromatic complexity is reflected in a palate that is refined and elegant, full of freshness and verve." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins de France 2018)

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Françoise Antech-Gazeau masterfully manages this successful wine merchant, which has specialized in sparkling wines for six generations. Nearly a million bottles leave the cellars each year. A wide range of very consistent wines of high quality, with a clear focus on purity, minerality, and freshness. The M30 cuvée, made from Mauzac grapes, impressed us with its wonderful aperitif qualities.

Review and opinion by Mr. FREDERIC B. Published on 12/31/2017

Beautiful, very fine bubbles accompany a fresh, fruity nose of apple followed by white fruits. The palate is sapid and long without being exuberant. It is very well vinified.
