"Apple blossom and minty. Dry but pleasant thanks to its delicate bubbles. More sparkling than effervescent. Green apples, pomelo zest and peel, chicory leaf, and a hint of nectarine. Mauzac laid bare. I'd love to try it with seafood!" (Jancis Robinson) Mauzac in its purest form!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Françoise Antech-Gazeau masterfully manages this successful wine merchant, which has specialized in sparkling wines for six generations. Nearly a million bottles leave the cellars each year. A wide range of very consistent wines of high quality, with a clear focus on purity, minerality, and freshness. The M30 cuvée, made from Mauzac grapes, impressed us with its wonderful aperitif qualities.
