Made from 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, and the remainder Mourvèdre, and aged for two years in 10% new oak, it offers an incredible bouquet of ripe blueberries, lavender, smoked meat, and pepper that opens up beautifully over time in the glass. The full-bodied, rich, and opulent palate is round and ample, with ripe, flawless tannins, perfect balance, and a heavenly finish. About the wine:
Tasted as a blend of selected barrels, the 2020 Terrasses du Larzac la Peira appears to be the best of the three vintages tasted. Bursting with fruit, it needs more time in the barrel to become approachable. Full-bodied, lively, exuberant, powerful yet supple, it finishes with a long, lingering aftertaste featuring persistent notes of licorice.
