"Sparkling Natural without additives, a classy bubble with a fresh balance, perfect for aperitifs!"

A spontaneous and free cuvée, devoid of artifice. Here , the bubbles form naturally in the bottle, without the addition of sugar. A lively sparkling Montlouis, with fine, fresh bubbles and a delicate nose, opening with pleasant, very subtle notes of white fruit.

About the estate:

Originally from the Oise region, Xavier Weisskopf established his farm (17 hectares of organic land) in 2005. Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Starting out with limited resources in a makeshift cellar in 2005, Clémence and Xavier Weisskopf have succeeded, through courage and tenacity, in building up their vineyard. For several years now, they have been among the leading figures in Montlouis-Sur-Loire. The 17 hectares spread between Montlouis and Touraine are cultivated Organic. Touche Mitaine (flinty clay), Les Borderies (clay-limestone, 40-year-old vines), Le Grand Poirier (clay-sand, 67-year-old vines)... A myriad of terroirs have been isolated in bottles, in whites that aim for aromatic nuance, delicacy, and the honest expression of dry Chenin or Chenin with residual sugar, depending on the mood of the vintage. These are wines of great sincerity that delight the taste buds!

Wine rated (2024 guide) 89/100

About wine:

Montlouis-sur-Loire Pétillant Originel 2021 is a lively, zesty, and slightly sparkling Chenin Blanc. It has completed its fermentation in the bottle. Aging for 36 months on lees has rounded out the linear personality of the 2021 vintage and added a little body in the mid-palate. Citrus and apple flavors meet delicate pastry notes.
