Pinot Noir

attractive bottle

A lively, indulgent Pinot Noir that reveals freshness and richness in a lovely nose of tart red fruits. The palate is delicious, with a fruity profile, beautiful notes of morello cherry, and excellent drinkability. A lovely bottle to enjoy this fall, with cheerfulness and lightness. Serve slightly chilled!

Rated estate (2026 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the estate:

Originally from the Oise region, Xavier Weisskopf established his farm (17 hectares of organic land) in 2005. Nothing predestined him for this profession, but his studies in Chablis introduced him to the world of wine, which led him to the "Viti" in Beaune, then to Gigondas, and finally to the banks of the Loire.

Wine rating (2020 guide) 15.5/20 (2017 vintage) (Good wine)

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Starting out with limited resources in a makeshift cellar in 2005, Clémence and Xavier Weisskopf have succeeded, through courage and tenacity, in building up their vineyard. For several years now, they have been among the leading figures in Montlouis-Sur-Loire. The 17 hectares spread between Montlouis and Touraine are cultivated Organic. Touche Mitaine (flinty clay), Les Borderies (clay-limestone, 40-year-old vines), Le Grand Poirier (clay-sand, 67-year-old vines)... A myriad of terroirs have been isolated in bottles, in whites that aim for aromatic nuance, delicacy, and the honest expression of dry Chenin or Chenin with residual sugar, depending on the mood of the vintage. These are wines of great sincerity that delight the taste buds!
