Figuière - Famille Combard

Figuière is ideally located between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, near Le Lavandou and Bormes-les-Mimosas, across from the Porquerolles Islands, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Maures Mountains.

Run by Alain Combard’s three children—Magali, Delphine, and François—Figuière produces wines under the AOC Côtes de Provence, La Londe, and IGP Méditerranée appellations. Its vineyard spans 125 hectares, 45 of which are planted with vines and surrounded by pine forests, cork oaks, arbutus trees, and eucalyptus.

The Figuière vineyard has been cultivated organically since 1979—now Ecocert-certified—on the schist-rich terroirs of the Maures Mountains and the clay-limestone soils of central Var. The region’s sunshine, among the highest in France, allows for the maturation of about ten different grape varieties. The proximity of the sea acts as a thermal regulator. It allows the vines at Domaine Figuière to begin growing earlier in the spring and to be harvested before the first autumn rains. These are ideal conditions for producing the AOC Côtes de Provence white and red wines that delight wine lovers.
