Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Hidden at the foot of the north face of the Alpilles, in a magical and spectacular setting worthy of a James Bond film, this 58-hectare estate now belongs to the Charmolüe family, former owners of Château Montrose, a Saint-Estèphe Cru Classé. Cultivated as close to nature as possible, the vineyard finds its rhythm in biodynamics, the progression of the wines is clearly perceptible and their purity undeniable. Since 2018, a brand new winery has complemented the spectacular historic winery, allowing the wines to continue to progress.

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Former owners of Ch. Montrose, a Saint-Estèphe classified growth, Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe acquired this vast estate (250 hectares) with a long history in 2006, located in the heart of the Alpilles Regional Nature Park in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. The vineyard covers 58 hectares, cultivated biodynamically since 1988, and the wines are aged in a monumental cellar, carved into the rock and designed like a Gothic cathedral.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
3-star estate (very high-quality production)
About the estate:
In the heart of the Alpilles, the sixty or so hectares are home to many red grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, etc.) and white grapes (Rolle, etc.) from the Mediterranean and elsewhere (Cabernet Sauvignon), all grown using biodynamic methods. The grapes are vinified in a rather unusual location: an underground cathedral. The estate, acquired in 2006 by Jean-Louis Charmolüe (Château Montrose, in Saint-Estèphe), benefits from the advice of Bordeaux oenologist Denis Dubourdieu.
