"The appellation's flagship cuvée
"A delicious Côte-Rôtie 2022, already open and expressive. Deep aromas of blackberry, red fruit and blueberry. The silky tannins are already beautifully integrated. The tannins develop gently into a long, polished finish with a touch of stony minerality." (James Suckling 2025). A gourmet, elegant Côte-Rôtie, to be enjoyed with a shoulder of lamb confit...

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
Stéphane Ogier's ambition can be measured not only by the quality of his wines, but also by his new winery. A magnificent work tool for vinifying his Côte-Rôtie and Seyssuel terroirs on a parcel-by-parcel basis. Barrel vinification is mastered thanks to long maturation periods. A reliable source of excellent Northern Rhône Syrahs, prized by top sommeliers and wine merchants the world over.

Wine rated ( 2025 guide) 92/100 (Great wine)
About the wine:
Aged for a year in barrel, Côte Rôtie Mon Village 2022 represents about half of Stéphane Ogier's production. It presents aromas of fresh black berries, violets and spices, with perfectly integrated oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a taut, dense structure complemented by fresh, velvety tannins, leading to a refined, ethereal finish with hints of dark berries. Currently slightly introverted and firm on the finish, this wine would benefit from cellaring for 2-4 years before being enjoyed.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been vinifying in an ultra-contemporary winery in Ampuis, giving free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares farmed by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on beautiful Côte-Rôtie parcels. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, from which he has retained a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole harvest in the Cuvée Lancement). The precision of recent vintages, the rigorous selection of plot-based cuvées and the style now displayed by the wines place the domaine among the elite, and the third star is now in sight.

About the wine:
Attractive, seductive nose with notes of ripe red and black fruit. The palate is delicate, with fine tannins. Delicious and juicy, but with a firm backbone and spice.

A delicious Côte-Rôtie 2022, already open and expressive. Deep aromas of blackberry, red fruit and blueberry. The silky tannins are already beautifully integrated. The tannins develop gently on the long, polished finish, where there's a touch of stony minerality. Bottled in spring 2024 after a year's ageing in oak barrels, followed by a few months in vats. For drinking or cellaring.

About the wine:
A blend of different terroirs, Côte Rôtie Mon Village 2022 has a bright ruby color and a classic Côte Rôtie nose, with aromas of sweet red and black fruits mixed with notes of pressed flowers, charcuterie and spices. This complex, medium- to full-bodied, elegant wine offers the sun-drenched fruit of the vintage, good overall balance and a fine finish. To be enjoyed over the next decade between 2025 and 2035.
