"A Rhône wine that is a must-have in your cellar!"

This Côtes-du-Rhône, predominantly Grenache complemented by Syrah and a touch of Mourvèdre, delivers on all its promises. It has hints of Provence with its notes of spices and garrigue, generosity with a beautiful palette of red fruits, and a supple and elegant palate.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

Stéphane Ogier's ambition is reflected in the quality of his wines, but also in his new winery. It is a magnificent facility for vinifying his Côte-Rôtie and Seyssuel terroirs by plot. Barrel vinification is mastered through long aging. A reliable source of excellent Syrahs from the northern Rhône, prized by top sommeliers and wine merchants around the world.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About the estate:

Since 2014, Stéphane Ogier has been making wine in an ultra-modern winery in Ampuis, giving free rein to his creative talent. Of the 18 hectares cultivated by this estate, 3.5 hectares are located on some very fine Côte-Rôtie plots. Stéphane joined his father Michel in 1997 after studying oenology in Beaune, where he developed a taste for elegance and finesse. The wines are made from partially destemmed grapes (50% whole bunches in the Lancement cuvée). The precision of the latest vintages, the rigorous selection of single vineyard cuvées and the style now displayed by the wines place the estate among the elite, with a third star now in its sights.
