The full-bodied, velvety palate exhibits a certain liveliness and is enlivened by a broad palette of white-fleshed fruits, citrus, and pineapple, combined with notes of honey and a hint of butter. The rich, dense texture lingers with beautiful volume, featuring a subtle tension on the finish enhanced by lovely bitter notes. It’s always a great pleasure to taste this Bouquet des Garrigues, even more so with the 2022 vintage, which proves to be a truly exceptional year in terms of quality—incredibly refined and extraordinarily fragrant. This promises a real development in aromatic intensity after a few years of aging. At the beach cottage, this Bouquet des Garrigues was a huge hit with the family, paired with a parrillada cooked à la plancha featuring Mediterranean fish and eels caught by the “minots,” and rounded out with clams, mussels, and shrimp. Rating = 4.2.
