Domaine de Fondrèche - Persia blanc 2020

Jancis Robinson

The white wine, Persia, is made from the estate’s oldest vines on a Roussanne plot. It reveals a very mineral nose, with aromas of white stone fruits, exotic fruits, and white flowers, along with a hint of mint. A full-bodied cuvée with a fresh, briny attack, it combines beautiful richness with well-integrated acidity. Pairing it with asparagus wrapped in smoked bacon or veal sweetbreads will delight the palates of even the most discerning gourmets!

About the estate:
Nanou Barthélemy and her son Sébastien Vincenti purchased this property in 1995, built the winery and regularly upgraded it, and replanted the vineyard—50 hectares of organic vineyards cultivated using biodynamic methods—thus establishing Fondrèche as one of the leading producers in the Ventoux appellation.
