Domaine de Fondrèche
Domaine de Fondrèche is located in Mazan, in the heart of the Côtes du Ventoux appellation. It is run by Nanou Barthélémy and Sébastien Vincenti, who have a simple goal: to produce wines that truly reflect their terroir. In other words, wines that are as closely connected to their terroir as possible, while showcasing its unique character.
The Domaine de Fondrèche vineyard, spanning 42 hectares, is cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, with the goal of creating harmony between the vines, the soil, and their immediate environment. It is spread across three sites in the municipalities of Mazan, Mormoiron, and Saint Pierre de Vassols. The entire vineyard is cultivated without chemical herbicides, and the most environmentally friendly solution is always prioritized. The lunar calendar guides vineyard management practices to strengthen the vines’ natural defenses.
Domaine de Fondrèche features a winery that reflects its vision of wine, blending modernity with tradition. Winemaking is done without sulfur to best reveal the terroirs. Aging is carefully considered and controlled with respect for the wine (concave concrete tanks, terracotta amphorae, large oak casks, and barrels).
