"Made from a single plot of Syrah planted in 1955, this benchmark Ventoux red balances the finesse and angularity of Syrah with the intensity of the southern Rhône sun and a salty, stony minerality. A powerful wine, it is also dazzling and fresh, with fine, chalky tannins and a piercing, crystalline finish. Delicious when young, the wine should age well until 2030 and hold up even longer.” (Wine Enthusiast 2021)

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Nanou Barthélemy and her son Sébastien Vincenti purchased this property in 1995, built the winery and regularly upgraded it, and replanted the vineyard—50 hectares of organic vineyards cultivated using biodynamic methods—thus establishing Fondrèche as one of the leading producers in the Ventoux appellation.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2020 guide) 92–94/100 (An outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2025 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Tasted last year from a single new Stockinger cask, the 2018 Ventoux Divergente is fruitier than the 2017 or 2019 vintages. Pencil shavings frame notes of raspberry on the nose, while the palate is medium-bodied, with ripe fruit and a creamy texture, yet a sharp edge on the crystalline finish.
