"Produced from a single plot of Syrah planted in 1955, this benchmark Ventoux red combines the finesse and angularity of Syrah with the intensity of the southern Rhône sun and a salty, stony minerality. A powerful wine, it is also dazzling and fresh, with chalky, fine tannins and a piercing, crystalline finish. Delicious when young, the wine should age well until 2030 and keep even longer." About the estate:
Nanou Barthélemy and her son Sébastien Vincenti acquired this property in 1995, built and regularly improved the cellar, and replanted the vineyard—50 hectares of organic land, cultivated using biodynamic methods, making Fondrèche one of the benchmarks of the Ventoux appellation.

Wine rating (2020 guide) 92-94/100 (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2025 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About wine:
Tasted last year from a single new Stockinger barrel, the 2018 Ventoux Divergente is fruitier than the 2017 or 2019. Pencil shavings frame notes of raspberry on the nose, while the palate is medium-bodied, with a ripe, creamy texture, but also a sharp edge on the crystalline finish.
