Domaine du Mas Blanc - Banyuls Collita 2004

Domaine du Mas Blanc - Banyuls Collita 2004

Rating: RVF 16/20
The Collita cuvée is initially a Rimage, whose very specific fermentation process (under marc) results in a Banyuls with a very different character and strong spicy accents. It displays an almost perfect balance and a remarkable combination of fruit and charm. One of the estate's latest additions, it is certainly not lacking in generosity. Definitely worth discovering!

<br/>

2-star rating (Successful production)

About the estate:

Dr. Parcé had undoubtedly left his mark on the estate and the Banyuls appellation as a whole, which is based on magnificent schist terroirs. The Collioures wines, i.e. the dry wines produced in the same geographical area, have until now given a good idea of this terroir and its potential. The challenge is great for Jean-Michel Parcé, the son, to maintain this level of quality.

About the estate:

Le Mas Blanc has the largest vineyards in Banyuls. It has belonged to the same family since 1639, that of Dr. Parcé, a prominent local figure who passed away in 1998 and who was a driving force behind the estate for many years.
