Le Clos du Moulin comes from a 2-hectare plot of Mourvèdre planted on schist soils, located in the town of Banyuls, along the banks of the Baillaury River. A wine that offers superb concentration of ripe fruit with lovely body on the palate, where maritime influences are evident in the subtle iodine notes perceived on the finish. A wine with obvious aging potential that will be a pleasure to rediscover in about ten years...

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 2** stars (Successful production)
About the estate:
Dr. Parcé had undeniably left his mark on the estate and the Banyuls appellation as a whole, rooted in its magnificent schist terroirs. The Collioures, that is, the dry wines produced in the same geographical area, had until now given a good indication of this terroir and its potential. The challenge is great for Jean-Michel Parcé, the son, to maintain this high standard of quality.

Rated estate (2011 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Le Mas Blanc boasts the largest vineyards in Banyuls. It has been owned by the same family since 1639—the family of Dr. Parcé, a prominent local figure who passed away in 1998 and who was the driving force behind the estate for many years.
