"Syrah (50%), Grenache, and Carignan come together in this oak-aged cuvée. Captivating, rich, and powerful, the nose reveals aromas of red and black fruits and iris, nuanced with balsamic notes. The fruity aromas (blackberry, blackcurrant, and cherry) are evident in a delicate attack, followed by woody licorice notes that emerge in a full-bodied, velvety texture built on fine tannins. The finish is long, fresh, and floral. A wine with substance and a promising future.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2025 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
The perfect choice for those who want to discover fine Languedoc wines that remain true to their terroir. Jérôme Joseph and Laurent Calmel are wine merchants without their own cellars. They age their selected vintages at the winemakers’ estates from whom they purchase them, preserving the original flavors and terroirs. A wide, delightful selection featuring many excellent wines and a few stunning surprises.

About the estate:
Laurent Calmel, an oenologist, teamed up with Jérôme Joseph to found a wine merchant firm in 1995 specializing in regional wines from the Languedoc-Roussillon. The duo launched their own label in 2007. They select the vineyards, vinify the grapes, and age the wines.

Wine rated (2017 guide) Gold Medal
About the wine:
Deep black color, youthful. Fresh and fruity on the nose (blackcurrant, plum, sweet cherry). A very smooth, delicate Roussillon that emphasizes freshness. With this wine, we return to the basics—the simple pleasure of fruit. You can’t help but love it. Perfect for a summer barbecue.
