About the estate:

Founded around 1850, this family-owned estate has been passed down through six generations. Following in the footsteps of his father Louis, Didier Barré, who took over in 1983, played a key role in the revival of Madiran, becoming one of its leading advocates. In 2017, sisters Claire and Marion Bortolussi (daughters of Alain Bortolussi of Château Viella) took the reins of this flagship 25-hectare estate by forming a partnership with wine merchant Lionel Osmin to manage the vineyard operations and market the wines. The transition to organic farming began in 2020.
