Marie-Thérèse Chappaz - Fendant Coteaux de Plamont 2018

Marie-Thérèse Chappaz - Fendant Coteaux de Plamont 2018

90/100

Robert Parker

“The wine has a vibrant citrus color and opens with a crystal-clear, elegant, and complex bouquet of crushed stone and bright, ripe fruit aromas. [...] This is a subtle, crisp, and refreshing Chasselas—elegant, textured, and well-structured, with a stimulating, dynamic, and briny finish. The wine has a vibrant freshness, even though it underwent malolactic fermentation and was fermented in two stages, in the fall of 2018 and the spring/summer of 2019.” (Wine Advocate 2020 - Stephan Reinhardt)

About the wine:

The 2018 Fendant Coteaux de Plamont fermented for 10 months in enamel tanks. The wine has a vibrant citrus color and opens with a super-clear, elegant, and complex bouquet of crushed stone and bright, ripe fruit aromas. Bottled at 12.5% alcohol, this is a subtle, clear, and refreshing Chasselas—elegant, textured, and structured with a stimulating, dynamic, and briny finish. The wine has a vibrant freshness, despite undergoing malolactic fermentation and being fermented in two stages, in the fall of 2018 and the spring/summer of 2019. Tasted at the estate in Fully in January 2020.
