“The wine has a vibrant citrus color and opens with a crystal-clear, elegant, and complex bouquet of crushed stone and bright, ripe fruit aromas. [...] This is a subtle, crisp, and refreshing Chasselas—elegant, textured, and well-structured, with a stimulating, dynamic, and briny finish. The wine has a vibrant freshness, even though it underwent malolactic fermentation and was fermented in two stages, in the fall of 2018 and the spring/summer of 2019.” (Wine Advocate 2020 - Stephan Reinhardt)

About the wine:

The 2018 Grain Ermitage Président Troillet is pure, deep, fresh, and refined, with a concentrated and aromatic nose that initially reveals more oak notes than I recall from previous vintages, though these fade with aeration. Rich and generous yet elegant, refreshing, pure, and mineral on the palate, this is a full-bodied, complex, juicy Marsanne with lingering minerality, fine tannins, and a persistent mineral freshness. Another impressive wine. Tasted at the Fully estate in January 2020.
