“The 2018 Grain Pinot Charrat is fresh, precise, and spicy on the nose, yet also slightly full-bodied and open. On the palate, it is a ripe, lush, and solidly structured Pinot with a fresh, briny finish, woody tannins, and chocolatey flavors.” (Wine Advocate 2020 – Stephan Reinhardt)

About the wine:
The 2018 Grain Pinot Charrat is fresh, precise, and spicy on the nose, yet also slightly full-bodied and open. On the palate, it is a ripe, lush, and solidly structured Pinot with a fresh, briny finish, woody tannins, and chocolatey flavors. This is an unfiltered version, but there is also a filtered version, which Marie-Thérèse says has a less woody taste. I will taste that wine at some point. Tasted at the Fully estate in January 2020.
