"Sadie offers us a 100% Chenin cuvée made from 80-year-old vines grown at the foot of the stunning Citrusdal mountains!"
“Passion fruit, stone fruit, apricots, chopped apples, hazelnuts, and a hint of rosemary on the nose. It is dense and creamy, with a full body but plenty of stony minerality, as well as texture and tannic grip. Salty and intense on the finish. Chenin Blanc grown on eroded limestone soil with high iron content. Drink now or cellar. ” (James Suckling 2025)

About the wine:
The Skurfberg 2024 comes from the drier northern regions of the Cape and is the first of Sadie’s Chenin Blancs to be harvested. It offers a charming bouquet with aromas of beeswax, sea spray, and light white linen, along with a hint of seaweed. The palate is well-balanced, with a soft, very linear, and very structured attack—a wine that doesn’t do things by halves. Serious and austere, yet its savory character invites you to take another sip. 2026–2046
