About the wine:
The Treinspoor 2024 is a pure Tinta Barocca that Sadie says she loves, even though he had to discard a large portion of the fruit from that vintage due to drought—about 35%. It blossoms on the nose with sensual aromas of red fruit, rooibos, Earl Grey, and subtle mineral notes, beautifully defined and concentrated. The palate is medium-bodied, with a lively attack, impressive density and weight, very pure, and perhaps the most sensual of Sadie’s OVS wines for this vintage. Just a slight hint of crushed black pepper on the finish. Excellent. 2026–2046
