Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (These represent the pinnacle of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the estate:

Anyone who has tasted a wine from the Desvignes siblings—Claude-Emmanuelle and Louis-Benoît—has experienced a special emotion. Here, the pursuit of aesthetic excellence focuses on the subtle expression of specific vineyard sites (primarily in Morgon), the right balance of structure according to the vintage, and aging potential—all stemming from meticulous viticulture, sensitive winemaking free from dogma, and refined, wood-free aging. The third star has been pinned to the estate’s lapel for several years now, and given the consistency and coherence of the range, we suspect it will remain there for many years to come.

About the wine:

The Morgon La Voûte Saint-Vincent 2024 is a blend from small plots situated on granitic soils in the northern part of the appellation. It offers a light bouquet with floral notes and hints of violet that permeate the blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with tart cherries on the attack, slightly more austere than the 2023 but retaining its definition. Best enjoyed soon.
