"The terroir of the Côte de Nuits is beautifully showcased in this vibrant and remarkable cuvée, which puts Pinot Noir front and center: a cuvée that connoisseurs will undoubtedly love..."

Rooted in the heart of the Côte de Nuit, the 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras reveals the very essence of the grape variety, offering dark, complex fruit in the glass: black cherry, cocoa nibs, and subtly peppery black plum. The silky-smooth palate opens with delicate, vibrant fruit and develops harmoniously into a fresh, elegant finish. A gastronomic wine that will elevate your meal.

Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

With 47 hectares spread across 25 climats, this family-owned estate—composed of countless small plots—boasts a unique viticultural heritage, featuring in particular a first-rate selection of vineyards from the area surrounding the Corton hill. The wines remain true to their terroirs of origin, unpretentious and full of sincerity. The estate is managed by Dominique Guyon and has been organically farmed and certified since the 2018 vintage. The reds, made from partially destemmed grapes, combine ripe fruit with fine tannins. They are faithful expressions of their terroirs, with the 2018 vintage featuring a range of well-crafted reds where the Corton Clos-du-Roi leads the pack—which is hardly surprising. Among the whites, the Meursault Charmes-Dessus and Pernand-Sous-Frétille are particularly noteworthy.

About the estate:

This large 48-hectare estate is located in Savigny-lès-Beaune. In the 1960s, Antonin Guyon purchased parcels of land stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault. In 1970, his son Dominique expanded the estate. He succeeded in acquiring 350 plots belonging to nearly 80 owners in the commune of Meuilley in the Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits, totaling 22 hectares. Today, Dominique Guyon manages the estate and oversees winemaking with the help of his cellar master, who is also his vineyard manager, Vincent Nicot. The vineyard is meticulously tended, featuring plowing, moderate soil amendments, limited yields, and grapes that are always sorted during harvest. The estate offers a wide range of wines from both the Côte-de-Nuits and the Côte-de-Beaune, including numerous 1er Crus, several Grands Crus from Corton, and a Charmes-Chambertin. All the wines exhibit beautiful, expressive fruit and great density.
