“A smooth, feminine wine!”

"Deep in color, almost black, it offers an impressive concentration of dark plums, with earthy and smoky notes and a hint of leather. The tannins are firm but very finely grained. With its power and concentration, this wine is almost reminiscent of Drouhin’s work in Oregon rather than in Burgundy. This vineyard is located in the center of the village of Les Godeaux, at the top of the slope above Lavieres, with south-facing vines.” (Decanter 2021)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the estate:

The estate is now led by Frédéric Drouhin, supported by his sister Véronique for the wines and his brother Philippe in the vineyards. In July 2013, it opened a wine bar in the heart of Beaune. It has found its stride and has established itself as a sure bet. The estate draws on a biodynamic vineyard particularly well-stocked with great white wines, in the Côte-de-Beaune as well as in Chablis (wines sold under the Drouhin-Vaudon label), including the famous Clos des Mouches.
