Gilbert & Gaillard
"The house style is evident in this cuvée with its expressive, precise, and refined nose, revealing notes of white fruit (ripe apple, juicy pear) and verbena. The palate is full-bodied, creamy and chalky, revealing flavors of Granny Smith apple and root notes, leading to an energetic finish. The terroir of the grands crus is well represented. Serve as an aperitif or with langoustine papillotes with citrus sauce . " (Le Guide des Vins Gault & Millau 2021)

About the estate:
Coming from a line of winemakers dating back to the 17th century, Rémi and Jean-René Brice cultivate the family's 12 hectares of vineyards. With the help of Christophe Constant, oenologist and production manager, they produce champagnes rooted in the Bouzy terroir, classified as Grand Cru.

A champagne that is average, but nothing more. Let's wait a few months in the cellar.

A rather pronounced acid imbalance for a brut. Too bad, I'm a little disappointed.

A lovely balance of ripe fruit, mild spices, smoky notes, and a beautiful, long acidity on the palate. Good value for money.
