Gault & Millau

“A lovely light gold color. A delicate nose of toasted almonds with a hint of smoke and great character. On the palate, a dominant freshness combined with a silky, airy effervescence. The aromas are perfectly highlighted, maintaining the same festive character.” (Le Guide des Vins 2018 - Gilbert & Gaillard)

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Wine rated (2021 guide) 16/20 (Very good)

Rated Category: Recommended (Recommended)

About the wine:

This 100% Chardonnay reveals a powerful yet subtle nose: aromas of juicy, crisp vine peach, pear, fresh grapes, white flowers, and white pepper. The palate is inviting, with a crisp, lively quality. The fresh citrus notes reflect the 3 g/l dosage, whose acidity invigorates the wine, leading to a creamy finish. Enjoy as an aperitif or with a citrus-infused sea bream ceviche.

About the estate:

Descended from a line of winemakers dating back to the 17th century, Rémi and Jean-René Brice cultivate the family’s 12-hectare vineyard. With the support of Christophe Constant, oenologist and head of production, they craft champagnes rooted in the terroir of Bouzy, a Grand Cru appellation.
