"The house style is evident in this cuvée, which has an expressive, precise, and refined nose, revealing notes of white fruit (ripe apple, juicy pear) and verbena. The palate is full-bodied, creamy, and chalky, revealing flavors of Granny Smith apple and earthy notes that lead to an energetic finish. The terroir of the grands crus is well represented. Serve as an aperitif or with langoustine en papillote, citrus sauce.” (Gault & Millau Wine Guide 2021)

About the estate:
Descended from a line of winemakers dating back to the 17th century, Rémi and Jean-René Brice cultivate the family’s 12-hectare vineyard. With the support of Christophe Constant, oenologist and head of production, they craft champagnes deeply rooted in the terroir of the Grand Cru-classified Bouzy.

Wine rated (2019 guide) Gold Medal
About the wine:
Light gold color. A clean nose with hints of yellow fruit. A full-bodied attack that gives way to a lively mid-palate, lending freshness to the wine. The texture is delicate, with pronounced fruit accompanied by subtle smoky notes. A fine brut for an aperitif.

A champagne that’s just average—nothing more. Let’s let it age in the cellar for a few months.

The acidity is quite pronounced for a brut. Too bad—I'm a little disappointed.

A nice balance of ripe fruit, subtle spices, smoky notes, and a lovely, lingering acidity on the palate. Good value for the price.
