"The sun at its zenith warms the clay soils of this south-facing terroir, giving it a generous character. The yellow wines are bright, deep, dense, concentrated, with surprising minerality and finesse." (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2014). A powerful and complex yellow wine, with aromas of nuts, spices (curry) and smoky notes... A must from Maison Tissot!

Rated estate (2020 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

As sparkling as his crémants, as energetic as his whites, as welcoming as his reds, and as generous as his yellow wines, Stéphane Tissot is undoubtedly the driving force behind the Jura wine region. Taking over the family estate in 1993 with his wife Bénédicte, he has revealed the full richness of the Jura terroirs through great wines from selected plots. The variety of the range is matched only by the quality and purity of the wines, as well as the winemaker's tireless craftsmanship and experimentation. High-density stake planting, massal selection, amphora aging, prolonged maceration, and sulfur-free wines are just some of the strings to Stéphane Tissot's bow. Around 50 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards make up one of the most exciting estates in the region.

Rated estate (2020 guide) 3 stars (These represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)

About the estate:

What a journey Stéphane Tissot has been on since 1990! The vineyard began its conversion to organic farming in 1999 and is now cultivated biodynamically. Whatever the type of wine, everything is managed with talent and sensitivity, and the flavors are perfectly integrated. The Macvins are the finest in the region. The rusticity often brought by the marc is wonderfully blended here! The reds and oxidative wines have acquired an unforgettable finesse and freedom of tone. The rigor of the work accomplished and the kaleidoscopic depth of the range unquestionably place the estate at the top of regional production.

Just as enjoyable as "En spois" but with a more mineral character, giving it an incredibly long finish and perhaps making it more accessible and easier to pair with food.
