Favorite new Favorite this beautifully crafted 2020 vintage. Juggling power and smoothness, the Obriers open up on the palate with a fresh, voluptuous, and rich flavor thanks to a concentrated yet ripe, mellow, and silky texture that envelops a consistent juice blending an incredible cocktail of morello cherries, sweet red fruits, mild spices, and dried hay, complemented by delicate smoky, licorice, and animal notes. Also very fragrant, the finish nevertheless lacks a little acidity. The rich character of this cuvée and its abundant aromatic expression echo tasty and spicy southern dishes, such as small Lozère lamb chops with golden herbs barbecued or a hearty beef stew with Camargue white rice. Rating = 4.1.
