"A brilliant deep purple color. Aromas of light roasted notes, coffee beans, a hint of oak, ripe black berries, licorice, and wild herbs. The palate is dense with a fine texture, youthful tannins, and fresh acidity; black fruit layers over a subtle spicy note, leading to a long, lingering finish." (Tasted by Andreas Larsson)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This estate was the pride of Faugères in the 1990s, before being taken over by Julien Seydoux, who arrived here with the humility to learn about the terroir and the desire to bring Les Estanilles back to the forefront. The aging process is gradually adapting to the wines’ characteristics and still has room to improve. The reds are powerful and full of flavor; they are wines with a strong personality.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
In 2009, the self-taught winemaker Julien Seydoux purchased this 44-hectare estate, which is farmed organically and produces wines that are often outstanding. A sure bet.
