Château Soucherie - Coteaux du Layon 2014

Bettane & Desseauve
This Coteau du Layon makes a strong impression with aromas that blend the crispness of apple and rhubarb with the sweetness of ripe pear. The velvety texture and lingering fruity notes are very pronounced on the palate, while giving way to a lovely freshness typical of the Loire region. A truly delightful wine!

I'm a huge fan of Loire whites—maybe more from the Montlouis area, actually—but I was a bit disappointed by this Layon, which I found to be overly sweet at the expense of acidity. I "forgot" about two or three bottles in my cellar. Worth revisiting
