Gault & Millau
"This is a dry, very dry Anjou wine. Its sharp citrus flavors linger on the palate. The firm, straightforward texture is complemented by a well-presented finish. (Les Meilleurs Vins de France - Gault Millau). An elegant and refined white wine, with a silky texture and perfect balance. Beautiful acidity and low fat content create a lovely mineral finish... A truly indulgent wine!

Rated estate (2019 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Roger-François Béguinot, who made his fortune in baby food, and his wife fell in love with Château Soucherie in 2007. This 28-hectare estate is beautifully situated on a south-facing schist hillside between Beaulieu and Rochefort, in the Anjou, Savennières, Coteaux du Layon, and Chaume appellations.
