16/20
Bettane & Desseauve
With a golden-yellow hue, this 100% Romorantin, aged in barrels, reveals slightly smoky aromas with hints of thyme. On the palate, it is round and powerful, delighting with its length and minerality.

About the estate:
Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate’s operations director for nearly 20 years, took over management of the property in 2020. The estate, formerly a vineyard belonging to Château de Troussay, has been certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic since 2015. Owned by the deeply committed Chevrier family, the estate spans 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, featuring notably very old Sauvignon vines.

A great find—just disappointed I couldn't buy more than one bottle—something to keep in mind for the next sale!
