RVF
“A beautiful, distinctive white wine from the region, showcasing the lesser-known Romorantin grape variety”
“A bouquet of gentian roots, subtly austere yet with a relaxed palate that evolves toward greater fruitiness. A radiant intensity balanced by lovely bitter notes. Already in excellent form, it should continue to develop gracefully over the next few years. A savory finish, full of depth.” (La RVF Revue, April 2023)

About the estate:
Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate’s operations director for nearly 20 years, took over management of the property in 2020. The estate, formerly a vineyard belonging to Château de Troussay, has been certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic since 2015. Owned by the deeply committed Chevrier family, the estate spans 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, featuring notably very old Sauvignon vines.

About the estate:
With the departure of Italian Laura Semeria, a new chapter begins at the Montcy estate. [...] a family of investors from Orléans has stepped in to steer the future of this biodynamically farmed property in Cheverny. The wines presented retain an authentic character and aromas, without any pretension. They respect the aging process and the identity of the Sauvignon and Chardonnay for the whites; and the Pinot Noir and Gamay for the reds. Let’s observe the transition...
Jancis Robinson
Wine rated (2023 guide) 16,5/20
About the wine:
I can't think of any other way to describe this wine than rock salt and crushed black pepper. It's crisp, fiercely salty, and decidedly unfruity. Austere, yet with a powerful character. Bring on the fish and fries!
James Suckling
Wine rated (2023 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
Aromas of peach, apricot, dried herbs, lemon zest, and spices, with medium body and crisp acidity. Well-balanced and creamy on the edges, with a relatively light mid-palate and a mineral finish. Made from biodynamically grown grapes certified by Demeter. Ready to drink now.
