About the estate:
At the age of 23, while writing his doctoral thesis in oenology, Frédéric Brochet created his small estate from his father's 49 acres of vines. This was the beginning of Ampelidæ, born in the family cellar at La Mailleterie. Since 2004, with the support of the Meuli family and a group of winegrowers from the Vienne region, his vineyard has grown to cover 90 hectares of organic land, spread over thirty kilometers around Jaunay-Marigny and divided between several properties, complemented by a wine trading business.

Seductive and harmonious, this cuvée perfectly combines power and fullness with delicacy and beautiful fruit management. The palate is full, supple, and smooth, with great finesse and a taffeta-like mouthfeel, aromatic complexity on a coulis of sweet red and black fruits, enhanced by subtle notes of undergrowth and cocoa. The thick, deep, enveloping tannins carry the intensely fragrant finish far. Elegant presentation, reflecting the wine itself. A rare find for a 100% Pinot Noir: guaranteed pleasure at a moderate price. Paired with veal shanks in a fresh morel cream sauce. Rating = 4.3.
