Domaine Ampelidae
Ampelidae (from the Greek word Ampelos, meaning vine) is a pioneer in organic viticulture in the Loire Valley. The Meuli family officially took the reins of the venture in 2020, accompanied by their daughter Izzy and Gilles de Bollardière. Together, the four of them are breathing new life into the estate by producing wines of excellence, with an innovative and environmentally conscious approach.
The vineyard is now one of the largest in the Loire Valley, covering an area of 100 hectares and comprising five estates, three of which are exclusively owned: La Mailleterie, Le Manoir de Lavauguyot, established in 1085 on the southern slope, was where the project first took root, and Le Château des Roches, the driving force behind its development. The commitment to responsible viticulture and environmental protection is still at the heart of the estate's concerns.Ampelidæ, certified Organic 2007.

The geological structure of the vineyard allows for the cultivation of different varieties, with Sauvignon Blanc and Gris dominating, along with Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
Ampelidæ is committed to producing wines that respect their terroir (certified organic), their era (low use of sulfites, protection of the social and economic environment, etc.), and people (from suppliers to consumers): in short, contemporary wines.
