Château de Tracy

Château de Tracy stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Loire River, in a town that bears its name. This family estate was taken over in 2014 by Juliette d'Assay, initially as co-manager, a former magazine photographer and the youngest of the siblings. That same year, the family vineyard was awarded the HVE (High Environmental Value) label in recognition of its virtuous philosophy and cultivation methods that respect the natural balance.

The Château de Tracy vineyard covers 33 hectares of hillsides a few kilometers from Pouilly-sur-Loire, in the Loire Valley. Exclusively planted with Sauvignon, the vineyard comprises different terroirs that give the wines different expressions: the flinty clay of the Butte de Tracy produces wines with a strong, powerful and distinctive character; the Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone of the Champs du Cri plateau produces rich, elegant wines on flinty terroirs. 

A small original feature is a sparkling wine made from Chardonnay planted on a limestone terroir called "Dame de Tracy."

In 2017, the château team also created a wine merchant division to broaden their horizons and explore new possibilities. This approach is part of a quality-focused vision, fueled by curiosity and a desire to discover and share Gems in the heart of the vineyards that offer good value for money. This artisanal wine merchant business, named Tracy & Cie, enables the establishment of new local partnerships with winegrowers who are committed to rural values and their terroir, and the creation of micro-vintages that are sincere and committed to healthy and respectful agriculture.
