Facing due south on steep terraces, the Syrah plots that make up 90% of this wine are trained on stakes, reminiscent of the Côte Rôtie vineyards. With its incredibly low yields of 15 hectoliters per hectare, it reigns supreme in its kingdom and makes no secret of it. Its beautiful ripeness and aromas promise a delight where the terroir expresses itself above all else. A lovely 2000 vintage, with only 3,000 bottles produced, reaching full maturity and ready to be enjoyed over the next five to six years!

About the estate:
Dr. Parcé had undeniably left his mark on the estate and the Banyuls appellation as a whole, which is rooted in its magnificent schist terroirs. As for the Collioures—that is, the dry wines produced in the same geographical area—they have so far provided a good indication of this terroir and its potential. The challenge is great for Jean-Michel Parcé, the son, to maintain this high standard of quality.

Le Mas Blanc boasts the largest vineyards in Banyuls. It has been owned by the same family since 1639—the Parcé family, led by Dr. Parcé, a prominent local figure who passed away in 1998 and who played a leading role in the estate for many years.
